How we make Digital Signage work
Intertise combines it's
proven infrastructure, networking support, hardware and software to
provide seamless, easy to implement Digital Signage. Content of any
kind, can be distributed to virtually any type of device, in virtually
any location. All that is required is either a regular phone line
or a broadband connection (ie. DSL) and through the use of a standard
PC connected to any display, our VisionCast™ software does the rest,
working with our Media Server.
Using our Value Vision
Network as an example, you can see how everything revolves around
our Media Server, from the creation and placement of ads and content
by the Creative team to the management and scheduling of that content
by Operations to the automatic distribution of the content to each
location, the process is fairly straightforward.
Once a PC and Display
are installed and our software is configured and ready to run, all
that needs to be done is to connect the PC to either a regular phone
line or to a DSL line. Based on your operating hours or other constraints,
the PC will "Call" into our media server at various times of the day
or every 24 hours (if using a regular phone line).
The PC connects to our
Media Server using VPN (Virtual Private Network), identifies itself
and asks for instructions. Our Media Server contains the instructions,
parameters, schedules and content files and then based on the location
dialing in, provides the PC with it's instructions.
The PC executes these
instructions and rules, downloads the files and content it needs and
then creates log files of everything it's done during that connection,
which is uploaded back to the Media Server before it disconnects.
This allows us to know
what every location is doing at all times, when they last connected,
what they did exactly and based on counter and log files stored locally,
which are also uploaded to the Media Server, we can produce MIS and
other Reporting for each location, which includes files and ads played,
times of connect and disconnect, success or failure, copy, overwrite
and delete execution and other statistics.
All in all, our end
to end solution is seamless, automated and easy to implement and once
in place is essentially hands free. All that may be required from
time to time is to reboot the PC if problems occurred, cables were
disconnected or power failure occurred at the location.
